Benefits
At NTT Multimedia Communications Laboratories, Inc., the health and well being of our employees and their families is important to us. It is this reason why we offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package that will meet their needs. The summary below gives an overview of the available benefits.
Benefits are available to regular, full time employees working 35 or more hours per week. Employees are eligible for benefits [excluding 401(k) plan] on the first day of the month after the date of hire. Eligibility for the 401(k) plan is 90 days after date of hire.
Medical
Blue Shield PPO Plan
This plan allows employees the option of using providers in or out of the PPO network. Office visits are 100% paid after $15 co-pay and the annual deductible is $250/individual and $500/family.
Bule Shield HMO Plan
Under this plan, employees have to select a physician listed in the HMO network. Office visits and hospitals visits are 100% covered after a $15 co-pay (emergency room is a $100 co-pay) and there is no annual out of pocket deductible. Employees have an option to visit a specialist in the same medical group without a referral for a $30 co-pay.
Both the PPO and HMO plans have prescription drug benefits.
Dental
MetLife
This Plan enables employees to go to any dental provider listed in the PPO directory to receive care. The annual maximum benefit is $2,000 per person. Preventive service is covered 100% with no deductible. Basic Service covers 90% and Major Service covers 50% after the annual deductible has been paid. The deductible is $50/individual and $150/family.
Vision
Vision Service Plan
Employees may receive care from any provider listed in the VSP directory. Full coverage (after $10 co-pay) includes vision exam every 12 months and lenses and frames (or contacts) every 24 months. A second pair of lenses/frames can be purchased for $20 every 24 months. Restrictions apply.
Life/AD&D Insurance
Reliance Standard Lyfe Insurance Company
Life insurance is provided to MCL employees at two times their annual salary to a maximum of $175,000. Accidental Death and Dismemberment is also provided at two times their annual salary to a maximum of $175,000 if death or dismemberment is the result of an accident.
Short-Term Disability
Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company
If an employee is unable to work due to illness or injury, short-term disability will cover 66 2/3% of salary up to $2,309 per week for 13 weeks. Benefits begin after a seven-day qualifying period.
Long-Term Disability
Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company
If an employee is unable to work due to illness or injury, long-term disability benefits begin after the 13-week short-term disability has ended. Long-term disability will cover 66 2/3% of base monthly earnings to a monthly maximum of $10,000.
Flexible Spending Account
125 Max
Employees can contribute pre-tax monies toward a Medical Flexible Spending Account (maximum $3,000 annually) and/or a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (maximum $5,000 annually).
Employee Assistance Program
HMSA
Employees can access this voluntary and confidential service when faced with personal or professional problems. Benefits include professional counseling and referral services.
Medical Benefits Abroad
Cigna
Provides employees medical and emergency benefits while traveling abroad on business.
401(k) Plan
Prudential
Employees are eligible to participate in NTT MCL's 401(k) plan after 90 days of service. Employees may contribute up to 40% of their salary on a pre-tax basis per calendar year. NTT MCL, Inc. will match dollar for dollar at a maximum of 8% of salary. The maximum amount that an employee can contribute for each calendar year is regulated by the IRS regulations.
Vacation
Full time and part time employees will begin accruing vacation time the first of the month following the date of hire. An employee's "vacation year" is the year starting from the date of hire.

All full time regular employees are entitled to seven (7) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave per year.

Tuition Reimbursement
NTT MCL, Inc. offers tuition reimbursement for job-related courses to all full time employees. Employees will be reimbursed 75% of tuition and laboratory fees to an annual maximum limit of $3,000.
Employee Referral Program
We encourage employees to recommend qualified friends and colleagues for open positions and will give thanks for that referral if he/she should accept an offer in the form of a referral bonus. Bonuses will be paid in increments starting six (6) months after the referral begins work at NTT MCL.
Flexible Work Hours
NTT MCL, Inc. offers our employees Flexible Work Hours. Employees may arrive and leave within specified times designated by the company. This allows employees the flexibility to manage work/life demands.
Performance Bonus Program
Employees are eligible for bonus 2 times per year in June and December. Bonuses are based on individual performance.
