Job description
Located in sunny Palo Alto, California, the security group of NTT Multimedia
Communications Laboratories is looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual
interested in a position in computer security. This job opening involves
performing security consulting services to various divisions within NTT
(both in the U.S. and Japan) and the opportunity to conduct basic research,
as well as any other duties assigned by the manager. Security consulting
encompasses tasks such as secure system design, protocol analysis, and
prototype implementation, among others. For more information about

Education / required skills / experience
- M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, or related field
- Solid foundation in cryptography (through research or project experience)
- Programming proficiency in C, C++, or Java
- Knowledge of security protocols, such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, etc.
- Understanding of wireless technologies/protocols (802.11, 3GPP, etc.)
or Internet protocols (IPv6, Mobile IP, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, especially good writing abilities
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Preferred skills / experience
- Experience in security consulting
- Security architecture experience
- Experience in optimized coding/implementation
- Familiarity with VPN technologies (L2TP, PPTP, etc.)
- Familiarity with e-commerce technologies, including micropayment
protocols
- Programming experience on embedded / wireless devices
